Have you always dreamed of being a fashion designer? Do you love drawing? Do you like to make your own clothes? If you are aged 14 – 20 and the answer is yes to any of these questions above then this is the course for you!
“How to Put a Fashion Collection Together” – We will teach you the basics of:-
1) International fashion trends – who decides on them, what are they influenced by, how do they affect our Kenyan market?
2) Putting a concept together for your collection.
3) Sourcing fabrics and designing a colour scheme
4) Doing a mood board
5) Developing your ideas
6) Drawing, drawing, drawing – how to get the proportions right
This is an introductory 2 day course at the Life Ministry Centre on Jabavu Rd, Hurlingham from 10 – 4 with a break for lunch, which will be at the venue. Many of the modules will be taught by our Fashion Guru Ann McCreath of KikoRomeo and FAFA. You will need an A4 sketchpad, pencils, erasers, basic coloured pencils, scissors, glue. You are welcome to bring a laptop, but don’t worry if you don’t have one.
